NIVA International School provides an education that harmoniously develops students' mental, physical, social, and spiritual faculties to the optimum. NIVA offers vigorous academic and extra-curricular programs in a liberal Seventh-day Adventist Christian environment to an international community of students aged 3 to 18 years from approximately 25 countries. NIVA, which was established in 1991, is a respected educational institution that endeavors to go beyond intellectual rigor and academic standards and places strong emphasis on character education, cross-cultural understanding, responsible citizenship, leadership, spirituality, and the necessary attitude for life-long learning.
NIVA’s teachers come from America, Australia, China, England, France, Ghana, Holland, India, the Philippines, Russia, and Thailand. These cosmopolitan professionals bring a diverse wealth of experience with them, which is so essential for an international school that takes pride in instilling cross-cultural understanding among its students.
NIVA uses a North American curriculum as the foundation while incorporating selected international curriculums for its culturally-diverse students in its kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school levels. Admission at NIVA is open to male and female students of any nationality, race, or religion. Applicants must meet the grade-level preparedness requirement by sitting for English language and mathematics admissions tests.
The use of Information technology is encouraged in all subjects. All our computers are interconnected in a local area network and to a server, allowing high speed access to the Internet via ADSL broadband. A secured wireless network is also provided for students and teachers who has their own laptop enabling them to access the internet from anywhere in the campus. The comprehensive NIVA ICT Rules and Policies guaranties that students use information technology appropriately.
In addition to the core subjects, NIVA offers instruction in art, music, physical education, foreign languages, and values education. Comparative religious studies, which cover Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Sikhism, are also included in the curriculum for our students to know and understand the similarities of beliefs among the main religions, and to respect them without biased opinions thus fostering respect for one another and peaceful co-existence.
Admission is open to male and female applicants of any nationality, race or religion who meet grade-level preparedness requirements.
